The program is designed for existing association board directors and elected volunteer leaders, particularly those who are appointed as president or chair-elect, or who aspire to fulfil a senior board position.
Crucially, whilst we acknowledge a Board’s fiduciary oversight as being fundamental to its success, participants should understand that the program’s primary focus is the strategic and transformative potential of a Board of Directors and the skills, knowledge and expertise required at Board level to serve the organizations mission in a responsible and yet inspiring manner.
Finally, participants must have a minimum of one year of experience as a board director so that they can fully benefit from and contribute to a program that involves group work, scenario planning and simulations, and exchanges with members of their cohort.
