IMPACT brings together motivated board officers and aspiring board leaders from high performing associations and non-profits from around the world. The 12-week program is strengthened by the support of a personal, professional mentor, and reinforced through peer support.
Our focus is on realising impact for everyone in an association: the board, the staff and, ultimately the members. A director’s participation in IMPACT will:
Each cohort will comprise 8-10 board directors from across the global association sector, who will progress through the 12-week program as a distinct peer support group.
The registration fee is £3,750, which includes full participation in the 12-week IMPACT syllabus; full access to our digital resources, including the online discussion platform and wider peer-support network of other IMPACT cohorts; and ½ day 1-2-1 coaching session.
Participants should complete the program in approximately 4+/- hours per week comprising a combination of trainer-led instruction, expert panels, specialist speakers, self-directed learning, recommended reading, peer-support meetings, podcasts, and 1-2-1 mentoring.
Modules will comprise a combination of formal presentations, panel sessions, group discussions, pre-recorded content, and individual focus.
Each participant will be required to identify and regularly connect with a professional mentor of their choosing, ideally from outwith the participants day-to-day environment, who will support them throughout the duration of the program (and hopefully beyond) to realise their personal objectives.
The program is delivered through a combination of core and adjunct sessions. Full attendance at core sessions is mandatory. Without complete buy-in, the value of participation is significantly diminished.
At conclusion of the 12-week syllabus, for a further 9-months participants will have full access to our digital resources, including the online discussion platform and the wider peer-support network of board leaders from the other IMPACT cohorts.
At conclusion of the 12-week syllabus, participants will also benefit from a ½ day 1-2-1 coaching session with Elisa Brewer Pratt or Andrew Chamberlain, reflecting on a topic or issue of the participant’s choice.
Prior to starting the program, participants will complete the Board Competency Audit, not as a test but to provide a benchmark for measuring individual and cohort performance, and for identifying any immediate development priorities. Participants will repeat the exercise at the end of the program to demonstrate their progress and to identify any additional or outstanding development needs.
